UML Chair Oli extends greetings on Sonam Lhosar

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has extended best wishes to all Tamang brothers and sisters at home and abroad for their happiness, peace, prosperity and progress on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar-2074 BS.

In a message today, UML Chair Oli said, it is a shared responsibility to keep ethnic unity and religious tolerance.

"Nepal is a country of 125 castes and 123 languages. Each ethnic group residing in Nepal has their own culture. We have a rich traditional practice where the festivals and cultures of one caste is also celebrated by others," stated the message.

Former PM Oli expressed his hope that the Tamang community would also help expedite the campaign for development and prosperity with the transition coming to an end following the parliamentary elections.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress senior leader Ramchandra Paudel has also extended his greetings for the happiness, peace and prosperity of Tamang sisters and brothers in and outside the country on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar.

Delivering a message of best wishes today, leader Paudel said such festival would enhance love, good will, tolerance and togetherness among the Nepali people and also expressed confidence that it would also encourage us to strengthen our national unity and social harmony.
