UML gives relief materials to flood victims in Rajbiraj

Rajbiraj, July 11

Relief materials were distributed to more than 1,000 flood victims of Rajbiraj Municipal area in the presence of CPN-UML central leaders at a programme in Rajbiraj Municipality in Saptari today.

UML leaders distributed relief materials at the party office in Rajbiraj today. As many as 1155 families had received the relief materials. Each family of flood victims received one tent, one mattress, five kg rice, sets of clothes and other items. The materials were sent by Youth Association Nepal, ANNFSU and the trade union’s central committee.

Coordinator Satyanarayan Mandal of Province 2, Assistant coordinator Nagendra Chaudhary and politburo member Ram Prit Paswan, among other party leaders, distributed relief materials to the victims.

Meanwhile, UML’s Saptari In-charge Suman Raj Pyakurel said the relief materials were distributed to flood victims as per the list provided by the local administration. He added relief materials would be distributed among flood victims of rural areas in the second phase. “The relief distribution programme to flood victims of rural areas has already been fixed,” he informed.
