Khotang, December 27

Senior leader of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Ashok Kumar Rai today argued that there was no point in the  CPN-UML’s obstruction of House proceedings.

Speaking to journalists at a press meet organised in Diktel, Khotang district, leader Rai alleged that the UML was disrupting the House due to its own internal problem and pushing the country towards crisis.

He reiterated that there was no better option to amending the statute by forging consensuses among all political parties.

“The new statute has to be amended for various reasons. Hence, continued house obstruction is not the ultimate solution to the longstanding crisis the country is facing,” said Rai.

The country has remained undecided because of the main opposition party the CPN-UML, Rai said.
