The fifth convention of Communist Party of Nepal United Marxist and Leninist (CPN-UML) Rautahat-Kathmandu Liaison-forum (RKL) was held here on Saturday. The programme, inaugurated by CPN-UML general secretary and main opposition party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, was held under the chairmanship of Girdhar Mishra, then president of RKL.

The programme elected a 13-member body of RKL under the presidency of Navraj Timilsena. Similarly, Rajan Upreti, Gayatri Aacharya, C R Timilsena and Bednath Koirala have been elected as vice-president, secretary, joint-secretary and treasure of the body. Likewise, Girdhar Mishra, Kishori Shah, Mahesh Kumar Adhikari, Om Prakash Jaiswal, Deepak Timilsena, Sarala Yadav, Farindra Dahal and Deepak Gupta have been elected as members.

The other guests present on the occasion were Member of Parliament Dr Banshidhar Mishra, secretary of CPN-UML Rautahat district committee Ram Kumar Bhattarai, vice-chairman of District Development Committee Rajudhin Aalam, member of Central Liaison Department (CLD) Shiva Adhikari, president of Narayani Zone Liaison Forum Balika Giri.

Meanwhile, a meeting held under the chairmanship of Astha Laxmi Shakya, head of the CLD, on Tuesday finalised the division of work.
