KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22

The CPN-UML is on course to win more parliamentary seats under the proportional representation system than any other party as it had secured more PR votes than any other party till 8:00pm today.

The CPN-UML was leading with 1,32,855 PR votes, the NC was second with 1,15,736 votes, followed by the Rastriya Swatantra Party with 58,816 votes, the CPN-Maoist Centre with 54,101 votes, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 31,651, the Janata Samajbadi Party with 10,338 votes, and the Janmat Party with 10,104 votes.

According to the Election Commission, the Nepal Majdur Kisan Party has got 7,174 PR votes, Civil Liberation Party 6,516 votes, CPN (Unified Socialist) 6,332 votes, and others have got 26,630 votes.

The EC said the CPN-UML was leading in three provinces - Province 1, Gandaki, and Lumbini; the NC in two - Madhes and Bagmati; and the CPN-Maoist Centre is ahead in Karnali. Details of vote count in Sudurpaschim are awaited.
