KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 12

The CPN (UML) has decided to mourn the passing of party Vice Chairperson, Subash Chandra Nembang for three days.

A meeting of the UML Secretariat took place at the party headquarters Chyasal in Lalitpur, endorsed a special condolence motion over the demise of the party leader. As a mark of the tribute, the meeting decided to lower the party to half-mast at all party offices nationwide during the mourning period. Party acting general secretary Pradeep Gyawali confirmed about the party decisions.

Likewise, a book of condolence is to be placed at the party central office, province offices and district offices in commemoration of the late leader. All formal events of the party and sister organisations are to be suspended during the period to mourn the passing of the leader.

Likewise, the party has decided to organise a special condolence assembly at the party central office on September 19. The mortal remains of the leader have been placed at the party headquarters and party leaders, cadres, his well-wishers are visiting the office en-masse to pay tributes to the late leader.

HoR member representing the Ilam constituency-2 passed away 1:40 am today at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital while receiving treatment for a cardiac arrest. He was 71.
