UML wins in Jitpur-Simara sub-metropolis

As the final results of 13 of the total 16 local levels are out in Bara so far, CPN-UML has achieved its first ever victory in the district by winning in Jitpursimara Sub-metropolis.
UML’s mayoral candidate Krishna Poudel and deputy mayoral candidate Saraswoti Chaudhary were elected in the sub-metropolis. While Poudel secured 14,865 votes to beat his close rival Krishnabrata Singh of Nepali Congress, who got 12,043 votes, Chaudhary garnered 14,459 votes defeating the Congress candidate Narayani Rayamajhi, who won 12,465 votes.
CPN-MC’s mayoral candidate Rajan Poudel and deputy mayoral candidate Gayatridevi Tharuni secured 11,248 and 10,866 votes respectively.
As for the wards, UML has won just seven wards out of the total 24 comprising the sub-metropolis. While CPN-MC has won 10 wards, NC claimed five wards. Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal won two wards.
Meanwhile, of the 13 local units whose final election results are out, NC and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal each have won in four local levels. While RJP-N has won in three local units, Nepal Democratic Forum and UML have won one local unit each so far.
