Crocs released in Rapti river

Royal Chitwan National Park released 10 crocodiles into the Rapti river today on the occasion of World Wetlands Day.

The Gharial crocodiles were released at a place called Dudhaura within the park.

Six of the crocodiles are female and four male. According to chief conservation officer of the park, Shivaraj Bhatta, 495 crocodiles have been released in Koshi, Narayani, Rapti, Babahi, Karnali and Kaligandaki rivers.
