DHANGADI: The curfew that has been in place since August 24 continued in Tikapur on Thursday as well. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Udaya Bahadur Singh of Kailali, the curfew was lifted from 7:00am to 11:00am. The four hour respite started some three days ago.

It, however, resumed till 11:00am tomorrow in Tikapur and 10 other adjoining VDCs. Ever since seven policemen, including a senior police officer and a two-year-old kid were killed in a clash with the agitators, the local administration clamped a curfew in Tikapur. In Dhangadi too.
