Jhapa, March 1:

The district administration office (DAO), Jhapa, has issued curfew order in various parts of the district. The DAO in a notice yesterday imposed curfew in six roads around the district headquarter, Bhadrapur, including the east-west highway in the district, from 08:00 am to 4:00 pm everyday till further notice.

In the notice, it is said the curfew order is issued effective from Monday keeping in view the “prevailing grave situation” in the district. Vehicles will be allowed to move after checking.

The areas included in the curfew cover areas from east Kankadbhitta in east-west highway to west Morang’s border Mawakhola, from north-south highway’s Charali to Ilam’s border Sunamai, from Birtamod to district headquarter Bhadrapur, from Haldibari VDC to Lekhnath chowk of Chandragadhi, from Garment chowk to district headquarter and from Prithvinagar VDC to Bhadrapur.
