Curfew lifted for two hours in Janakpur

JANAKPUR: The indefinite curfew clamped by the local administration after the death of three agitators in a fatal clash between the United Madhesi Democratic Front cadres and security persons has been lifted for two hours.

The curfew imposed by the District Administration Office since Friday has been lifted for two hours - from 6 pm to 8 pm- today, said Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli.

The administration lifted the curfew in view of the mildness of demonstrations in the morning hours.

The market places are inundated with crowds to purchase daily essentials after the curfew was relaxed.
