DHANGADI: The District Administration Office, Kailali, has relaxed curfew in Dhangadhi for a day and Tikapur and other areas for some hours on Wednesday.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Uday Bahadur Singh, the curfew order was lifted considering the Teej Festival.

The DAO has allowed devotees to perform tradition rituals from dawn to dusk. however, prohibitory order is still intact.

Likewise, The DAO has lifted the indefinite curfew order clamped in Tikapur and Bhajani Trishakti Muncipality from 6am to 4pm.

The DAO had imposed curfew in Tikapur, adjoining  10 VDCs and Dhangadhi Municipality after the violent protest in Tikapur in which eight security personnel were killed August 24.
