Curfew lifted in Rajbiraj, Rupani and Bharadaha
SAPTARI: Curfew imposed in Rajbiraj, Bharadaha and Rupani of Saptari district has been lifted on Friday.
The local administration had imposed the curfew after three persons were killed in police firing on November 22.
According to Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta, the curfew was lifted following gradual improvement in the security situation in the areas.
He, however, said that people's movement is banned at Bhardaha and Rupani from 9am to 6pm as the places continue to remain as prohibitory areas.
Likewise, the District Police Office, Saptari said that the curfew imposed in the areas covering the Koshi Barrage, the Balan River and the area 500 meters north and south of Gaighat Kadamaha road, from 8 pm to 7 am remains intact.
