Dabur Nepal shut, demands security
Bara, April 27:
Production work at Dabur Nepal, a multinational company at Rampur Tokani in Bara district, has been halted since Friday after locals created obstructions by padlocking the entrance gate of the factory.
The administration of the company had filed an application at the District Administration Office seeking security, saying that the factory would reopen only if conducive atmosphere was made for the operation of the factory.
“The factory was closed as the locals of Bhulahi Bharwaliya VDC padlocked the entrance gate of the factory,” the factory source said, adding” Locals of Rampur Tokani and Chorni VDCs have been pressurising the factory to provide them with jobs.” “Though the locals have been informed that there would be vacancy announcements in local media if there were any vacant posts, the locals padlocked the main gate,” the source said.
“Attempts are on to reopen the factory,” CDO Kamaleshwor Sinha said.
