KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 27

Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that the leftist polarization will be dedicated to nation-building and safeguarding Nepal's independence.

In his address at a unity programme that brought together the Nepali Communist Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, Janajagaran Party Nepal, and splinter groups from various communist parties, Coordinator Dahal emphasized that the leftist forces and communist unity aim to protect the nation's sovereignty and dignity, underscoring the need to strengthen national identity.

He added that the party also intends to collaborate with democratic forces to uphold national integrity and independence, and sought support for this initiative. "Only communists can resolve the problems facing the country today," Dahal asserted, urging leaders and cadres to exchange views and forge a synthesis for the implementation of neo-socialism.

On the occasion, Joint Coordinator of the NCP, Madhav Kumar Nepal, stated that the leftist polarization would be advanced by unifying other parties that adhere to scientific socialism based on Nepali characteristics. He added that similar assemblies would be held across the country to generate a wave of unity and create a conducive atmosphere ahead of elections.

Rajendra Shrestha, leader of a faction of the Janata Samajbadi Party favoring unification, said he joined the Nepali Communist Party because he supported its political programmes, which he believes will promote national prosperity.
