Dahal visits Gujarat
KATHMANDU, July 19
Chairman of Unified CPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a week-long India visit, has reached Gujarat. He observed the reconstructions works there.
According to Shiva Khakurel, Dahal’s personal aide, Dahal reached Bhuj of Gujarat on sunday where he observed reconstruction works at different places including Bhimasar, RTO, GK, General Hospital and Purano Bazar areas.
Dahal received a warm welcome from locals of Bhuj, Khakurel said.
Dahal has said that his observation visit would help plan reconstruction works of damaged areas in Nepal.
Dahal had questioned the authorities how such a detailed reconstruction process became possible in Bhuj. Administrative Chief of Gujarat Government Anju Sharma, administrative head of Kaj district and officials of the local administration informed Dahal about reconstruction works following the earthquake.
Dahal will reach Delhi this evening and return to Kathmandu tomorrow morning, Khakurel said.
