MORANG: Publishers and editors of all daily newspapers in Biratnagar have decided to close the publication of newspapers citing lack of printing papers due to obstruction at border points.

A meeting of the publishers and editors held Tuesday has decided to close the publication of newspapers from Wednesday, according to the Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Morang chapter Mahendra Bista.

The daily newspapers being published in Biratnagar include Udhghosh, Ujjyalo, Jana Bidroha, Darshan, Biratpath and New Srishti.

The meeting also concluded that distribution of the newspapers out of Biratnagar was not possible in the present context though the job was continued despite economic and physical losses.
