Patients with cold-related ailment on increase at Damauli Hospital

DAMAULI: The number of patients with cold-related ailments, visiting the Damauli Hospital is rapidly increasing with the recent drop in temperature in Tanahun.

The hospital has been receiving more than 200 patients on a daily basis since last week, informed Dr Paban Jung Rayamajhi, chief at the District Health Office (DHO), Tanahun. Most of the patients are suffering from common cold, cough, fever, and pneumonia, he said.

According to Dr Rayamaji, patients from Byas Municipality and nearby rural municipalities have flocked to the hospital which received only few patients before the cold weather.

The hospital has been advising the patients to have the sufficient intake of boiled water, liquidised foods and keep themselves warm, said Dr Rayamajhi.
