Dang schools to resume on Sunday
DANG: The schools in Dang district, which had remained close for a month owing to demonstrations by various groups over the draft constitution in the district, are set to resume on Sunday.
The agitating parties permitted the resumption of the schools after a meeting among civic body, PABSON-Dang, teachers, students and parents as well as the protesting parties, according to the Coordinator of Tharuwan Joint Struggle Committee at Deukhuri, Hiralal Chaudhary.
The educational institutions in the district were closed following the agitations waged by various Tharu-centric organisations and political parties in protest of the state delineation as proposed in the draft constitution since August 12.
As many as 24,000 students from 137 community schools and 55 private schools in the districts were deprived of their right to education due to the closure.
