KATHMANDU, MAY 6
Traffic along the Daunne section of the Narayanghat–Butwal road has been obstructed since this morning following rainfall.
The under-construction road, currently being expanded to four lanes, became muddy and slippery due to the rain, halting vehicular movement.
According to the District Traffic Police Office, vehicles have been stopped near Bishwakarma Temple and Sixty-Five Turn in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2. Traffic will resume once the road is cleared with dozers, police said.
Although this section is closed nightly for six hours for construction, even light rain frequently leads to full blockage.
While major work on this stretch is expected to be completed by mid-July, frequent disruptions continue to trouble commuters.
