DDC chairman, members flee district

Dhading, April 28:

Alarmed at the new political situation of the nation, Dhading DDC chairman Gokarna Raj Lamichhane and some DDC members have shown a clean pair of heels. “After the King’s address, the chairman was semi-underground,” said DDC sources. The chairman and some members had misused their posts and the DDC’s budget and so they left the district, locals said.

Meanwhile, vice-chairman Parshu Ram Tamang and members Ram Bahdur Tamang, Nanda Prasad Kafi, Durga Bahadur Gurung, Bal Bahadur Thapa and Sahadev Bharati resigned from their posts. In the absence of the chairman their resignations are yet to be approved.
