"We have built deep boring system to solve the scarcity of drinking water," said the rural municipality's ward no. 5 chair, Gajendra Bahadur Karki. The budget allocated for the rural municipality was used for building the deep boring system to prevent the displacement of the locals.

It has been reported that due to the gradual dry spell of the drinking water from the sources in Yaku area of the rural municipality, the locals have been suffering from the scarcity of drinking water.

According to Milan Bhandari, technical staff at the rural municipality, as many as 200 households currently living in the rural municipality have expressed their happiness regarding the drinking water made available from the deep boring system.

Local Tika Kafle shared that the water extracted from the boring system would help them a great deal since they had little to no water for their daily activities.

Ward chair Karki estimated that around Rs 2 million will be required to extract water from the ground through the deep boring system and additional Rs 2 million will be needed for the distribution of the water through the tanker.
