Defects in Constitution can be corrected, says Sitaula

INARUWA: Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula on Tuesday said that if there were any defect in the new Constitution, it could be corrected through political consensus.

Speaking at a greetings exchange and tea reception function organised by Nepali Congress in Inaruwa of Sunsari district, General Secretary Sitaula claimed that the Constitution addressed the rights of all.

As the Constitution is progressive, the reasonable demands can be incorporated through amendments, Sitaula added.

It is the duty of all the political parties to nurture the Constitution in its nascent stage, he stressed.
