Dengue diagnosed in Kavre

A patient was diagnosed with dengue at Khanikhola Rural Municipality, Kavre, today.

The patient is being treated in Hetauda Hospital, Makawanpur, as the hospital is near Khanikhola Rural Municipality.

Public Health Inspector of District Public Health Office, Kavre, Kamlesh Mishra informed that the person (male) of Khanikhola had gone to different places of Tarai for employment. Mishra said the patient was referred to the nearest health facility after symptoms of dengue were seen some days ago.

Meanwhile, DPHO has urged all to adopt safety measure to protect themselves from dengue virus after the dengue infected patient was found in the district. “We have deployed a team of health workers with kits in 13 local levels to control dengue in the district,” said Mishra. He said rapid response teams were formed in all district-based health organisations to control dengue.
