HETAUDA, SEPTEMBER 29

Dengue cases have increased in Hetauda, the headquarters of Bagmati Province, of late. As many as 112 people have been infected with the disease in the past 24 hours, while one person from Hetauda sub-metropolis succumbed to the disease.

Dengue patients have been facing the problems receiving treatment in Hetauda Hospital due to overcrowding at the hospital. The hospital has allocated one bed for two patients for treatment.

Patients have started moving to Kathmandu and Chitwan, among other places, for treatment after the number of dengue patients increased.

As many as 1,433 males and 1,120 females have been infected with dengue in the past two months. Information Officer Laxman Ghimire of District Health Office said no dengue case had been found yet in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality.

He said dengue infection was seen among 17 unidentified people.

Ward No 1 Chairman in Hetauda Sub-metropolis Sabin Neupane said that preparation was under way to bring dengue under control.
