Deuba lambasts PM Oli over border issue

Nawalpur, December 6

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba today accused the incumbent government of not being serious about resolving Kalapani border issue.

Speaking at a prize distribution programme of Suryabhakta-Patanadevi Memorial National Journalism Foundation organised by Press Union Nawalpur chapter in Nawalpur, Deuba said the incumbent government had failed to hold talks with India to solve the border issue between Nepal and India.

Deuba said Prime Minister Oli’s nationalism had turned into surrender. “The current government has failed to defend both national security and press freedom,” Deuba charged, adding, “Nationalism of the ruling communist party was sham.”

Senior journalist Kishor Nepal was felicitated with this year’s Suryabhakta Patanadevi Memorial National prize. He was awarded Rs 25,000 and an appreciation letter.
