Deuba told to be clear on unification

Kathmandu, August 30:

NC-D general-secretary Bijay Kumar Gachhedhar today criticised the party leadership for failing to expedite unification process with the NC. Soon after party president Sher Bahadur Deuba addressed the parliamentary party meeting today, Gachhedhar accused the leadership of being “vague and ambiguous” on the issue of unification. “I asked him (Deuba) what was barring the unification when senior leaders of both the parties were in favour of it,” Gachhedhar told this daily.

Deuba told the lawmakers that while he had proposed NC president Girija Prasad Koirala to work from the “bottom level”, Koirala had insisted that the process should be initiated from the top level. Deuba assured the MPs that the central committee meeting would thrash out all confusions regarding the unification soon.
