BAJURA, NOVEMBER 4

Just like everywhere else in the country, election campaign is in full swing in Bajura, where jobs and development projects have been a major poll plank for contestants.

"They (election candidates) are never bothered about us once the poll is over; you need elections to be declared, and they start showing up at our doorsteps, in hordes, giving us assurances of food, jobs, development projects and many more," said Rangamal BK of Budhinanda Municipality-1. "Every time we get assurances, but our condition is same all these years."

In Himali Rural Municipality-6, Nepali Congress, a few days ago, got many villagers to enter the party on assurance of development projects.

But just to return to CPN-UML after the party leaders and cadres reached the village and gave assurance of more development projects.
