‘Development prioritised to fulfil public need’

Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transportation of Federal Government Basanta Kumar Nembang today said the government was moving towards development activities to address people’s needs.

Speaking at a press meet held by Press Organisation Nepal in Butwal of Rupandehi today, Nembang held the government was serious about working towards a prosperous Nepal and had put planning for development activities at the top of its priority list. He said the government was fully confident to accomplish its plans and programmes on time whether the projects belonged to the regional, district or local level.

Minister Nembnag also directed the chiefs of projects to gear up for the most important and ambitious projects of Province 5.

He said construction of Gautam Buddha International Airport, expansion of Bhairahawa-Lumbini-Taulihawa Postal Highway, construction of Butwal-Bhairahawa-Belhiya trade road, which were the most important projects in Province 5, had to be expedited. He urged the chiefs of the projects to be more responsible for accomplishing the works on time. “The government is ready to provide any kind of assistance and support to accomplish the projects on time,” he said.

Minister Nembang urged the local and provincial governments to provide effective service to the people.
