Development work gaining momentum in Tanahun

Laying of cement sewer pipes, graveling and blacktopping of the roads and construction of bridges have gained momentum in Byas Municipality-10 of Tanahun of late.
Construction and repair of roads have been taking place at the cost of Rs 50 million, said Ward 10 chair of the municipality Tulsi Ram Sapkota.
The budget for the development projets has been provided by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development, Byas Municipality, Parliament Development Fund, among other sources, says Sapkota.
Blacktopping of 455 metre has been completed so far while construction of several other roads and bridges are well under way at Shishuwa, Darai Village, Chhanga, Maithumka.
Similarly, construction of a bridge over the Madi River and wire fencing on the premises of Shiva temple, repair work of Radha Krishna temple and Kali temple have reached the final stage.
Embankment construction along the Madi River also has reached the final stage. Tulsi Darai Drinking Water Project, multi-purpose community building, District Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office also are under construction. Construction of 15 houses under People’s Residence Programme have also been expedited. The houses would be handed over to the concerned persons within one-and-a-half months.
