KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority said a surveyor has been arrested red-handed while taking bribe from a service seeker in Dhanusha district on Sunday.

The CIAA Regional Office in Bardibas arrested surveyor Krishna Joshi with Rs 30,000 kickback.

SP Raj Kumar Lamsal at the CIAA said Joshi had taken the bribe from the service seeker for border measurement and ownership transfer of the person's land plot.

Meanwhile, SP Lamsal said the suspect would be booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
