DIG Nepal concerned about security
Jajarkot: Mid-west Police Chief DIG Madhav Prasad Nepal onThursday reached Jajarkot district headquarters Khalanga to take stock of the security situation.
Representatives of political parties, civil society, mediapersons and government employees, were present at the interaction.
The stakeholders advised him to take initiatives to establish new police posts, devise measures to curb the consumption of alcohol and various criminal activities in the district.
They also said there should not be any political backing for those who engage in such activities.
Meanwhile, DIG Nepal said that there was no possibility of establishing new police posts as there was vacancy of more than 10,000 security personnel in the region alone.
However, he pledged to leave no stone unturned to curb criminal activities and drug abuse in the region.
