KHOTANG: The Diktel–Halesi road stretch has reopened for vehicles after it stayed shut for the last two months.

The road stretch was shut down after multiple landslides fell onto it and huge potholes surfaced there.

It has been reopened after repairing and maintenance, informed Secretary Ram Kumar Hijhang of the Khotang Transport Entrepreneurs Association.

Diktel–Halesi road connects various places of the district with Kathmandu and various districts of Tarai.

Vehicular movement to Jayaramghat of Okhaldhunga from the district has also resumed after the road stretch reopened for transportation, said Transport Entrepreneurs Association.
