Discuss Maoists’ demands, says Gautam

Kathmandu, August 26:

CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam today stressed on the need for the eight party leaders to hold extensive discussions on the Maoists’ 22-point demands and reach an agreement to lead the CPN-Maoist to the election to constituent assembly.

“CA election is not possible if Maoists launch a people’s movement,” Gautam said while addressing an interaction on CA polls for loktantrik republic and preparation of the political parties, organised by Bagmati Special Coordination Committee of All Nepal National Free Students Union here today.

He said that the issues raised by the UML has outnumbered the issues raised by the Maoist in the 12-point agenda.

NC leader Arjun Narsingh KC said his party is fully prepared for the CA polls and that NC and UML should work to help CPN-Maoist sort out problems.
