Chairperson of CPN-Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said discussion is under way to ensure voting rights for Nepalis living abroad.
Dahal said so while inaugurating Nepal Festival, 2022, organised at Fukuoka of Japan. He shared that knowledge, skill, experience and capital of Nepalis living abroad could be mobilised in nation building, adding they are effortful for the same.
Saying there is friendly relation between Nepal and Japan, Dahal mentioned that Nepali students were studying in Japan for the past 120 years. Also, the former prime minister thanked the Japanese government for its support in educational and economic development.
Japan as a donor country is very important for Nepal, he expressed the belief that Japanese government would play significant role in further expansion of its cooperation to Nepal. The CPN-MC chair opined that his visit would be focused on taking Nepal-Japan relations to a new height.
He recalled that he had special relation and friendship with former prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. Expressing his belief that a stable government would be formed after federal and province assembly election, Dahal said a campaign of development and prosperity would be continued.
Dahal reached Japan today in the course of a five-day Japan visit.
