Dhading, October 27
The number of patients has increased at District Hospital, Dhading, after it started physiotherapy service.
An organisation, Humanity and Inclusion (HI) introduced the service at the hospital targeting patients who were injured in 2015 earthquakes. As many as 200 patients are receiving the service every month at the hospital.
Shyam Kishwor Sah, a physiotherapist at the hospital, said around 40 to 50 patients visited the hospital earlier. “But now the scenario has changed. More than 200 patients visit the hospital for physiotherapy service every month,” he added.
Sah informed that the patients suffering from back pain, bone fracture and paralysis, among others, had been benefited with the service provided by the hospital. He said that even patients from the remote areas were visiting the hospital after the service came into operation.
Apart from physiotherapy service, the hospital has also been providing other health services to the patients. The hospital has been distributing wheelchairs, crutches, among other materials, free of cost to the needy patients.
