Don’t dissolve HoR: Sujata

Kathmandu, June 28 :

Nepali Congress central leader and chief of the party’s foreign department Sujata Koirala said today the House of Representatives should not be dissolved as it would create a political vacuum.

“Rather than dissolving parliament, it should be suspended,” she said at a programme organised by Sambad Club here. She said she did not know about the Maoist demand for dissolving the HoR as it was revived by the people’s struggle.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader and MP Ashok Koirala accused the Maoists of not being sincere towards peace agreements even in the present political scenario.

Koirala said in Paanchthhar that although the Maoist leadership has reached agreements with the seven-party alliance and the government, the local level Maoist cadres have kept on ignoring and violating the agreements and code of conduct. “If the Maoists continue their activities, they, too, will face the downfall as experienced by the King,” he said.
