Kathmandu Metropolitan City has urged the concerned sector not to enrol students before the results of Secondary Education Examinations-2020 get published.

School enrolments before the publication of SEE results is against the provision as per Rule 48 (6) of the School Education Management Regulations, 2017, according to a notice issued by the Education Department of KMC. "All secondary schools have been asked not to take enrolments in Grade XI before the results," said Ram Prasad Subedi, chief of the education department.

The schools should also follow other directives. They should fix the fees charged from students of Grades XI and XII when the enrolment for Grade XI takes place. Likewise, they should charge fees for registration and examination as set by the National Examination Board. Similarly, students should not be forced to purchase textbooks, exercise books, school uniforms and other educational materials from the place as directed by the respective schools.

Schools have been asked to submit the list of services and fees charged from students of Grades XI and XII by July 30.

Information of the respective schools regarding the provision of scholarship facility and other facilities to their students should be submitted to the department within two months after commencement of the academic session.
