‘Don’t politicise development, prosperity’

Nawalpur, April 19

Federal Affair and General Administration Minister Lal Babu Pandit urged all and sundry not to politicise the issue of development and prosperity.

Laying the foundation stone of Pragatinagar Overhead Tank and Deep Boring under Nepal Government’s Tarai Madhes Prosperity Programme at Devchuli Municipality, Nawalpur, Pandit urged all to be united to chart out the course of prosperity of the country and its people.

Minister Pandit expressed confidence that the country could be made prosperous and wealthy in five years if all the political parties and people worked in tandem for nation building.

Pandit made it clear that there should be no space for the corrupt and mafia in the country. He said development was possible only via the establishment of an efficient system of administration based on checks and balance.

On a different note, Pandit held that problems facing health workers and medical doctors would be resolved pronto.  “The country has gone into federal model. It is inappropriate to refuse to work under province and local levels. Employees refusing to abide by the government order should be ready to face the music,” he warned.

Noting that the country was in need of 32,000 employees, Minister Pandit informed that the process of appointing staffers would be started very soon. He said homework was under way to hike government employees’ salaries and elderly people’s allowances from the next fiscal.
