DPM Pokhrel slams Dahal

BARA, JANUARY 11

Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel today said that Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s strategic plan of capturing the party and the government had led to the present crisis in the country.

Addressing a mass gathering of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction in Kalaiya, Bara, Pokhrel accused Dahal of trying to seize the government through conspiracy.

He added that the party had two chairs. “One chair was to run the party for five years while the other was to run the government.

But, Dahal started hatching conspiracy against the government. He put in all efforts to seize power at any cost. Thus, he is a villain who has given rise to the current state of affairs,” he charged.

Pokhrel said they would not allow any force to replace the chair elected through the general convention. “We will not allow conspirators to have their say,” he stated.

Pokhrel said the government was ready to listen to all, but instability was not acceptable.

He said that they never wanted the government to go into the wrong hands. “It is constitutional to go to the polls and people’s verdict will be the last decision,” he added.

Pokhrel urged the party’s rank and file to prepare for the parliamentary polls announced by the government.

At the programme, Urban Development Minister Prabhu Sah said that the country had reached a crossroads.
