Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha arrived in Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan province in China today.
DPM Shrestha flew from Nepal to China on Tuesday night for a five-day official visit leading a seven-member Nepali delegation.
Shrestha was welcomed by the Deputy General-Secretary of Sichuan Provincial People's Government and Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, Consul General of Consulate General of Nepal in Chengdu, among others.
A group of Chinese children also welcomed the visiting DPM Shrestha and the Nepali delegation.
DPM Shrestha is accompanied by Joint Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lok Bahadur Thapa, Joint Secretary of Home Affairs Ministry Rudra Devi Sharma, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Industry Mahesh Baral and DPM Shrestha's Personal Secretary Suresh Kaji Shrestha and others.
According to DPM Shrestha's secretariat, the DPM would attend the reception of the Western China International Fair today. He is scheduled to address the inaugural session of the Fair as a special guest on Thursday.
