NEPALGUNJ: Banke District Agricultural Development predicted that around 40,000 metric tons of paddy production will decrease in the district due to draught during the paddy plantation. The district produced around 131,400 metric tons paddy from 36,500 hectors land last year. However, the product is expected to be produced around 92,000 metric tons this year decreasing 40,000 metric tons. The office said 31,719 hectors of land remained uncultivated due to late rainfall.
