HETAUDA: Shortage of drinking water has hit Makawanpur locals hard after water resources went dry in various wards of Thaha VDC of the district. The locals of ward no 1, 2 and 3 of the VDC have been facing acute shortage of drinking water. School Management Committee Chairman Yuddha Thokar of Panchhakanya Primary School said as many as 82 households were reeling under water crisis. “We had water taps near our homes. However, these days we have to walk an hour to fetch water,” said Kanchhi Maya Thokar.
