Drinking water project benefits 326 households
DHADING: The scarcity of drinking water has been resolved in wards 4, 6 and 7 of Gajuri Rural Municipality in Dhading as drinking water taps have been installed in each household of the village.
The locals are elated to get the drinking water facility at their own homes. Sangita Chepang, a local resident and former ward member expressed her happiness that the locals are receiving drinking water at their doorsteps.
Chepang remembers difficult days when water was scare and people in the village had to face difficulties in finding drinkable water. She added, now the problem of having to wait for hours in a line for water has been resolved.
Drinking Water Project of Oxfam Nepal in association with implementing partner Prayas Nepal, a local organisation materialised the project.
According to Damodar Aryal, executive director of Prayas Nepal, the project carried out at a cost of Rs 19.47 million, is benefitting about 2,000 people of 326 households.
