Kathmandu, May 3:

The disgruntled section of RPP led by vice-chairman Padma Sunder Lawati has initiated a signature campaign to exert pressure on the party leadership to convene the party’s general convention before June 4 “to put an end” to the intra-party wrangling th-at emerged after February 1.

Senior leaders, central working committee members and central councillors have been given forms to be filled and signed, which will be submitted to the authority concerned by May 8.

“The forms will then be submitted to party chairman Pashupati SJB Rana,” Lawati said, adding it was high time the party took a common stand to avert a possible split.
