SAPTARI: Traffic along the East-West Highway was obstructed for two hours after a tree fell in East-West Highwayof the district on Monday.

According to the police, the tree fell down by the windstorm obstructed the Highway at Kanchanrup Municipality-7 in the district. As a result, traffic queues are backed up long, they added.

A team of police personnel was deployed to clear the road this morning, informed Police Inspector Gaurav Mahato.

Police now have opened the single lane and are chopping the branches of the tree to clear the road, it has been learned.
