Eastern industrial and tourism fest from February 17

Kathmandu, February 6

The Eastern Industrial Business Fair and Tourism Festival is all set to begin in Birtamod,

Jhapa, to promote various business products as well as tourism.

The fair will not just be limited to Nepali exhibitors but would also showcase products from Bangladesh, India (Darjeeling and Sikkim) and China.

The festival slated to be held from Feb 17-18 is being organised by the government, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Jhapa Chambers of Commerce.

This event will be a milestone in the promotion of new industrial and tourism destinations,

said organisers at a press meet organised by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

The fair will also showcase electronic goods and focus on tea and information technology.

Out of 252 stalls, 200 have already been booked.

China has booked 20 stalls while Bangladesh has booked 25 stalls, the organisers said.
