Lalitpur, September 25:

Chief Election Commissioner Keshav Rajbhandari today said the commission is determined to hold municipal elections in time even though the political parties are indifferent to it. The government has said that the municipal elections will take place by March or April next year. Rajbhandary was addressing a programme to orient the government staffers for the election.

“It is immaterial for the political parties to say they will not participate in the forthcoming election, because it is too early to comment on it — it is a hypothetical question,” he said.
