EC for poll related laws
Kathmandu, May 31:
Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokharel on Thursday urged the government to discuss the date for constituent assembly elections only after introducing related laws.
“It will be better if the poll date is fixed only
after completing all legal provisions. If we want to hold the polls in November, the election-related laws should be introduced by mid-June,” he said in a meeting with political parties. He said that the law and order situation in the country has deteriorated and fair poll is not possible in this condition.
