The Election Commission today submitted the final results of Bagmati Province Assembly election. Officials of the Election Commission reached the office of Bagmati Province Governor Yadab Chandra Sharma and handed over the report of final results of Province Assembly election to Sharma.
The Election Commission submitted the report of final results of all seven province assembly elections to the seven provincial heads today.
Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi at the Election Commission submitted the report of final results of provincial assembly elections held on November 20 to the province head. Bagmati Province's ministers were also present at the function.
Nepali Congress has won 25 seats under the first-past-thepost system in Bagmati Province.
CPN-Maoist Centre and CPN-UML have garnered victories in 14 and 13 seats respectively.
Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party and CPN-Unified Socialist have won seven and five seats respectively.
Hamro Nepali Party and Nepal Workers' Peasants' Party have won one seat each.
Under the proportional representation category, CPN- UML and Nepali Congress have won 14 and 12 seats respectively in Bagmati Province Assembly. CPN-Maoist Centre has won seven seats followed by Rastriya Prajatnatra Party with six seats. CPN (Unified Socialists) and Nepal Peasants' and Workers' Party have won two seats each. Hamro Nepali Party has won one seat under the PR category.
Out of total 110 seats in Bagmati Province Assembly, 66 are elected through FPTP while 44 are elected under the proportional representation system.
